Real Estate Agents - Are You Sending The Right Message?

You proclaim to your clients and prospects that your marketing is the best for them. But what do your prospects see when they get a mailer from you? The big question is, do they even get mail from you? A lot of talk happens about how consistent you market someone's product or home for them and how great the marketing is. But is it? And how consistently do you market yourself to the world?

After working with various sales people for many years, one thing is clear. The ones that are marketing themselves at least 2 times per month are the most successful. Branding and Quality is key with them and they do not compromise. Take a long hard look at your marketing plan and marketing pieces. And remember, YOU are the professional NOT your client. If you allow your client to dictate your marketing then you will never know if you are making the right move. They hire you for your expertise, not to be their order taker.

Part of your job is to educate them so that they have the understanding that YOU ARE the professional. Do you have a target audience? If you say everyone then you need to get a mentor. Let's face it, why would you spend the time, money and effort to market to people who cannot afford what you have to sell or who may never care? Also, be sure you are not missing an obvious market. Do you speak more than one language? If you do then your marketing should reflect that as well.
